Profile
This dog park offers two enclosed fields of varying size that allow dogs to run freely off lead. There are some agility obstacles such as jumps, a see saw, and bridge apparatus (though not all equipment is in full working order). Visitors note a generally safe and secure environment, well-suited for nervous or reactive dogs. Basic amenities such as a shelter with seating and tables, drinking water taps, dog bowls, and seasonal paddling pools are present. There is on-site parking and a tea room with outdoor seating where dogs are welcome. Waste bins are available, though some have noted they were full at times, and toilet bags are not provided. The cleaning station allows owners to wash down dogs after play. The park is situated near a busy road, and the presence of parked cars and neighboring pigs has been noted. Customer service is described as helpful by some and unfriendly by others.
Field Feature Notes:
– Secured: Fields are described as enclosed, secure, or safe for running off-lead, though some mention thin fencing in certain areas that may not be secure for determined escapees.
– Seating: There is a shelter with tables and chairs/hut for cover during rain. Tea room has outdoor seating for owners and dogs.
– Toilets: No mention of public toilets on site across all feedback.
– Toilet Bags: Toilet bags are not supplied.
– Bins: Bins for waste are present, sometimes full. New bins installed according to one commenter.
– Shaded Areas: Shelter/hut provides cover from weather. Some shaded seating outdoors by the tea room.
– Drinking Water: Water taps and dog bowls are available, but at least one visit had no water in the taps.
– Water Play Area: A seasonal paddling pool is provided for dogs in the summer.
– Agility Equipment: Equipment includes jumps, see saw, and bridge apparatus (though some may be partially broken or weather-affected).
– Park Size: Described as smallish and ‘not much bigger than my garden’ for one of the fields (Park 2). Some feel there’s enough space for a run, but others complain about size relative to cost.
– Cost: There is a charge to use the park (£12.50 mentioned for a session); described as cheap by one, expensive by others.
Other Field Features:
– Cleaning station for washing dogs
– On-site parking
– Tea room and coffee shop
– Adjacent to a farm with pigs
– Welcoming to reactive and XL bully dogs
– Easy to find off major road (A1)

Park 2 for us today, plenty big enough for 1 small and 1 large dog.
New bins for poo & general waste.
No water in the tap 😲 had to go looking for someone/a water scourse! Found an unopened bottle of water so gave them that!
Didn’t see any poo 💩
I’ve been here twice now. There’s a lot of space for running, great obstacles, and is well kept. This brings me to the missing star. The second visit there were dog droppings. Clearly, it’s because of other users, but still, the bin was full both times. Hopefully, this review helps, and it’ll get better.
Took our rescue dog here as we’re not sure about him off the lead. He ran round for the full half hour. Nice to know we can take him somewhere safe and secure to enjoy himself
What a waste of £12.50 park 2 is not much bigger than my garden.
Fencing is not great, booked a hour it’s so small got fed up after 35 minutes there is only so many times you can walk around it.
There are about 100 cars being stored around too definitely not worth £12.50 and definitely not 4 to 6 dogs.
Was lovely secure place. Shame about the weather. Being a greyhound she had a good run around off lead.
A smallish dog field where you can let your dogs off to have a free run around. There is a good size shelter from the weather with tables and chairs. Also there is a water tap and dog bowls and in the summer there is a paddling pool for the dogs. Poo bags are not supplied but there is a bin.
The only downside to this field is that it is right next to the busy A1(M) so you get traffic noise, which can be a big distraction if you are trying to train your dog. Other than that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this field, plus it’s cheap to. 🐕🐕🐕
Thank u for allowing XL bully’s
We went for the first time tonight with our springer who has no recall as of yet she loved it when it started to rain we sat in the hut while she mooched about there is also a cleaning station to wash them down afterwards
Not the best dog park. Hardly any equipment to use, there was a couple of jumps a see saw and a bridge type apparatus that had the bridge part missing. It also wasn’t suitable to use in the rain as it was really slippery.
Rude!
I genuinely thought I had booked the park for longer. My mistake and I apologised however the manner in which I was approached and spoken to wasn’t on.
Even after profusely offering my apologise ‘Donna’ still proceeded to ‘tell me off’.
I have hired the field on numerous occasions without an issue – maybe treat each customer at face value.
I won’t use the field again or recommend it.
No wonder why the rest of the farm has closed down …
I see that a previous review also received awful treatment too!!
While my friend had booked and paid for our regular session, I was there witness the disappointing treatment my friend at k9 park & play yesterday. It left me quite shocked, and not to mention my distraught dog.
We arrived at the park for our slot, expecting a fun time for our dogs. However, the park was unexpectedly locked, with no prior notice. My friend contacted the owner, they explained they had refunded us and posted a note on Facebook, but we don’t follow their page. After driving 30 mins to the park, she simply asked for better communication, like a text or phone call, to avoid this situation.
As we were preparing to leave, a man associated with the park came over and continued to argue with us, displaying a complete lack of empathy and respect. It was disheartening to see such dismissive behavior towards loyal customers who had trusted this establishment.
Simple to enter enclosed field. Staff always very helpful
Had a brilliant time at this place. Plenty of parking, lovely little coffee shop on site to have a chat after. Will definitely be back in the future. Had a 6 schnauzer meet up for there birthday. They loved the agility apparatus and all had plenty of space to run about and watch the very large pigs in the next field.
Great place to take your dog/s! An enclosed area where you can feel safe letting your dog run free. We had a great time with our dog and would fully recommend to anyone looking for a big and enclosed space to play with or train your dog. Great help from the owner too if you have any questions.
Was able to meet with friends dogs at this venue for both our reactive dogs. An excellent, safe facility where we could introduce them in a calm manner. The owner was extremely helpful and also gave good advice when i asked a few questions. Would highly recommend. Very convenient and easy place to find too, right off the A1.
I was staying in the area, found this service, brilliant areas to choose from and the added bonus of tea and cake!
Amazing place to take my little dog as she cant be left of the lead in regular places so this is perfect for her to go and explore without restrictions. I even poped over to the tea room for a drink and cake after my session both of which were next level, my dog was also able to join me in the outside seated area. Highly reccomend to others.
great family run facility. My little pooch is an escapee so this service is ideal for her. It’s great there are 2 areas to choose from. An added bonus is there is a fantastic little tea-room and shop on site.
What a fantastic park! So suitable for all dogs and love the fact that there are two parks to choose from. Added bonuses are the tea room site, where we can grab a take out coffee and cake whilst the dogs play, and also the fact that it is on a farm where my kids can play. Such a friendly place with such helpful staff. Will be returning weekly. What a little gem. Thank you!
Really is awful… Park 2 (described as the larger of the two fields) is basically a garden. It’s directly adjacent to another field with pigs in, separated by the tiniest and thinnest metal fence that can be easily broken through. When we arrived there was a person on the field for 10 minutes over the time, ended up having to phone the company to get them to leave. This is all also right next to what looks like travelers site… When you have places like country boarding for Cats and Dogs, Datchworth dog park, naughty paws play fields and the likes, this is so far beyond subpar for the price is laughable!! Absolutely terrible experience. Will never be going back
