Profile
A large, well-maintained and very secure dog field available by booking. The space is grassy, flat and provides a safe environment for dogs to run, play, and train off the lead. Multiple access points have double-gated or secure entry systems, with drive-in parking in some areas. There are some agility items including a tunnel, low jumps, A-frame, and tyre hoops, but agility equipment is limited. Seating is available at picnic tables and a small wooden or field shelter, offering a spot for owners to sit and shelter from rain. The park is quiet, peaceful, and popular for nervous or high-energy dogs, and also well-suited for recall and off-lead training. Bins for rubbish and dog waste are present, and the grass is generally kept tidily, though can be long in some areas. There is no on-site toilet or water supply for dogs or people.

Visited whilst on holiday to give our dog a run off the lead. We booked the 2 acre field which was well kept and very secure, Indie had a good run around with plenty if sniffs whilst we walked around the perimeter. Easy to book online. If we are in that area again, i would certainly book a half hour slot. There is a picnic table to sit at and also a shelter.
Very easy to book, field is one of the biggest we’ve been to, well maintained and secure. Highly recommended.
Good long field, clean, little shed to have a sit down and good parking.
Amazing place all our dogs loved it
Great field for dogs
Clean, well maintained
Nice size, with a little wooden rain shelter, well maintained and some agility equipment too…my dogs have a great time here
Easy to book and access. Brilliant for building confidence of owner and dog.
Super safe space to bring your furry friends
If you have high energy dogs this field is a must, the area is huge and offers on field parking so you can be comforted that your dogs aren’t going to escape in the sometimes tricky exchange from field to car.
We came here after a one hour drive (stopped off on the way to the beach to calm them down) and were a little disappointed to discover that there wasn’t any on site water supplied (but the website DOES state this and we knew beforehand). It is worth pointing out that there is a Morrisons within 5-10 minutes drive so you can get bottled water (and empty your bladders) there.
The water point is probably my only criticism (and I didn’t expect toilets to be provided, but it would be nice if they were).
There could probably be more for the dogs to do agility wise (I think the other field [Railway? We were in Ryedale] is more aimed at this). We have high energy dogs so they were happy enough sprinting from one end of the HUGE field to the other 😁
I would happily come back to this one another time.
Very easy to book and reasonably priced, especially as it keeps your dogs safe! Plus it was a good size and very clean!
Perfect place to let our saluki off leash to run about and play.
Great place to walk your dog in peace. Nice secure fenced off area, shelter for the great British weather, and loads of room for dogs of all sizes to run about.
First time today, Our rescue greyhound enjoy his run , worth the money and very clean, we will be back.
Brilliant
Brilliant. Don’t have to worry about meeting other dogs or people cos Lunar is very nervous
It’s nice not to have to worry
Our diesel loved it here first time today and we saw his first jumps he was so happy and we was too knowing we could let him off the lead with no worries thank you for this experience .
We would definitely recommend this place 🥰
Definitely coming back and back in the future x
We went to the new Railway Field (next to the original field) to give our 2 dogs an early morning run. The new field is drive-in, which is great for us. Our 2 get so excited when we get there, we can just open the door & off they go! Love the A frame & tyre hoops. It’s fabulous having these fields so close by. Our boys are ex-street dogs & have limited recall. Seeing them running around is just the best. Thank you Emma 😊😊
What a lovely find while we were on holiday in the area. Great facilities for put two cockerpoos. Easy booking system and reasonable price
Very safe for our two greyhounds who can’t be let off usually.
Overall a good field but the grass is very long in place and quite sharpe for 2 of my small dogs but they enjoy it none the less
I have a rescue dog who has no recall whatsoever! Someone recommended Ryedale Dog Field as a safe place to go where he could safely run free. It is fantastic. It is mostly clean (I picked up 3 piles of pooh that weren’t ours, which given the number of people who must use the field is a very small quantity of owners who aren’t cleaning up). It has nice grass, a tunnel, some low jumps and space, lots and lots of space. There is a picnic table and a field shelter, a rubbish bin and a pooh bin. It was perfect for us to practice recall and we enjoyed it so much, we have decided to make it a regular thing. Once we have recall something like and we don’t need it for training, I think we will probably book it for playdates. It’s a fantastic resource.
Brilliant place for training a young dog off lead, or just a safe place to exercise your dog, perfect,
Brilliant as usual. Our new greyhound loved it.
This was really great for our recently adopted collie who isn’t ready to be let off the lead without a secure fence yet. Thank you, we will be using again
Muddy but lovely
Fabulous enclosed area for the boys – and girl to roam!
Iv never been to the area before. I’m only up here for a day for work but of course bought my puppy with me. She’s a two year old German shepherd x Akita and this place was PERFECT! What a gem. I just turned up because I didn’t realise it was by bookings. Spoke to a lovely lady who made us a slot straight away!
Now my baby girl is running and rolling, having a smashing time! 5*****
Very fairly priced. I see some people making comments about it being expensive. It’s really not. Especially if it’s a one off or once a week treat. It’s worth every penny to be able to relax, let her run and know she’s SAFE! PRICELESS
Good facility but pricing needs reviewing
Lovely big dog field. Clear directions given to get there. Nice touch is a gate with a padlock then a sort of fenced tunnel and then another gate so no worries about dogs running off. Poo bag bin was full, otherwise five star experience.
Brilliant facility, very secure, super clean and well maintained
Brilliant facility for exercising your dog off the lead. Totally safe and very well maintained. Some tools provided for use for agility training. Would highly recommend this place. Well worth the small fee to hire. Will definitely be going there again 👍👍
Excellent secure space. Sensible well organised and safe booking system. A great place for training or just safe exercise with no distractions.
Went here for the first time yesterday with a friend and our 2dogs.What a great place! We took a picnic ,had a lovely hour ,So peaceful, and the dogs loved it.
Definitely be back.
Large, secure and clean dog field. Dog loves it, good value
Our dogs really enjoyed their run in this secure and well maintained place
Very good
A great place to take the dogs
Just used ryedale dog field for the first time as letting my beagle off lead can be a daunting thought. It’s the perfect place to let him stretch his legs and try train etc without any distracts. Will be back very soon!
I have 5 standard poodles and they loved it. It’s nice and flat and huge. There is also somewhere to sit and shelter. Very safe and professionally done too x
